What is essential? I broke a copy of yesterday’s piece down further and further until it became so abstracted that the focal point was lost to determine what was really essential to this design. The swimming cap!

More eco-dying. I hope you can make out the hibiscus flower! Red hibiscus, with acidified (vinegar) aluminium (can) as the mordant. I find the blue version of the dye lasts longer than the red. #365ChallengePostcards

I did it! Created daily every day in January. At Byfield recently, there was a large tree near the pool with leaves that turned bright red, just before they fell off the tree. Red jewels in the green. Always on alert for interesting leaves, I collected a few and bundled them with some watercolour paper … More 1 February, 2022
